8. Commissioner Gordon Sends Every Police Officer Into The Sewers At Once - The Dark Knight Rises

The more you pay attention to the things that Commissioner Gordon does over the course of The Dark Knight, the more you start to think: "Is there something wrong with this guy's brain? Did he graduate from police school or what?" Take this example as further proof, then: when Gordon learns that Bane and his henchman have set up shop in Gotham's elaborate sewer system, he orders pretty much every single cop in the city to go down there and wipe them out. All at the same freakin' time. That's everybody on the force isolated in one location. Of course, the whole thing is a trap; Bane detonates some explosives and the entire Gotham Police Department is suddenly cut off from the rest of the world thanks to large amounts of rubble. Trapped for the rest of the movie like a bunch of Chilean miners, Gordon's plan is revealed to be "very dumb." Doesn't he consider for even a second that Bane - a criminal mastermind - might have a plan? That it might be a trap of some kind? Why not send half of the officers... three quarters, even? Why didn't anybody question Gordon's totally insane decision?
