20 Idiotic Decisions Made By Characters In The Dark Knight Saga

20. The League Of Shadows Leave Gunpowder Lying Around Their Highly Flammable Base - Batman Begins

In Batman Begins, the League of Shadows are the super shady organisation - led by a suave chap named Ra's Al Ghul - who recruit Bruce Wayne and teach him how to be an awesome ninja at the beginning of the movie. Learning to control his fears and utilise them against his enemies, it's this training that allows Bruce to ultimately become Batman. But things don't pan out all too well when Ra's explains to Bruce about his urges to destroy Gotham so that it might rise again from its ashes; given that he absolutely loves Gotham, Bruce disagrees. Which leads, of course, to his escape from the League of Shadows H.Q., which he achieves by tossing a hot stick into room filled with explosives. Bizarrely, the League of Shadows - who are supposed to represent the epitome of criminal minds - keep sacks of gunpowder right in the very central room of their wooden base, which promptly explodes, destroying everything. If somebody were to design a "very flammable base," this would literally be the one they'd design. And yet tons of gunpowder is placed conveniently in the central chamber!
