7. Why Did Harry Go Chasing After Bellatrix At The Burrow?
At Christmas at the Weasley house (the Burrow), Bellatrix, Greyback and another Death Eater show up uninvited. They create a ring of fire around the house, taunting Harry to leave the protection of the Weasleys, Remus Lupin and Tonks. Harry chases Bellatrix into the cornfields, followed by Ginny. They engage in a wand battle. Bellatrix and her companions leave when Remus, Tonks and Arthur Weasley join the fight, but not before destroying the Burrow. This is a case of Harry not thinking before rushing into battle. He sees Bellatrix, who killed his godfather Sirius Black the year before. His eyes go red and he chases after her, doing exactly what she had anticipated he would do and endangering Ginny in the process. Hermione rips into him when they return to Hogwarts, and rightfully so. It would appear that the lesson of losing Sirius didnt sink in.
