20 Idiotic Decisions Made By Characters In Quentin Tarantino Movies

1. Vincent Leaves His Machine Gun On The Kitchen Counter (Pulp Fiction)

After Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) has double-crossed Marsellus Wallace, he learns that his girlfriend Fabienne (Maria de Medeiros) has forgotten to pack his precious gold watch, passed down to him through his family. Butch goes back to his apartment and finds the watch, but decides to make himself some toast before leaving. It's just at this point that he notices a machine gun on the kitchen counter, and picks it up, just as the toilet flushes. Vincent Vega emerges from the toilet, and the two have an uncomfortable, silent stand-off, before the toaster ejects Butch's bread, causing him to be startled and accidentally riddle Vega with bullets, killing him. A hilarious scene no doubt, though it should follow that if you're going to take a heavy-duty weapon into someone's apartment, probably keep it on you when you go for a crap, or you just might get caught with your pants down.
