20 James Bond Easter Eggs You Never Noticed

11. The Bond Theme Played Out In Ricochet - Licence To Kill

The Bond creative team clearly like to play around with sound cues - as well as making subtle musical references to other Bond movies throughout the series, there are also tuneful comic nods to Doctor Zhivago in The Spy Who Loved Me and Close Encounters Of The Third Kind in Moonraker. One of the harder to spot - or hear, as it were - musical moments comes towards the end of Licence To Kill. During the film's truck chase climax, Bond can be seen climbing atop one of the tankers, with Robert Davi's drug kingpin Sanchez in pursuit. Sanchez fires at Bond with an Uzi, hitting the truck, where the ricochet sounds play out John Barry's Bond theme - a moment of lightness in a film obsessed with the dark.
