Credited widely as the man who resurrected the Bond franchise - twice (with GoldenEye and Casino Royale) - director Martin Campbell couldn't resist taking advantage of his position of power in GoldenEye by appearing in a cheeky cameo. It happens near the beginning of the film, as Pierce Brosnan's Bond and Famke Janssen's Xenia Onatopp hold an impromptu mountainside drag race - which results in a bevy of panicking cyclists crashing down like dominoes. Campbell is one of those cyclists taking a tumble with the rest of them. The director also shows up in his Bond comeback, Casino Royale, as the truck driver who gets unceremoniously murdered by the terrorist at Miami Airport.
Lover of film, writer of words, pretentious beyond belief. Thinks Scorsese and Kubrick are the kings of cinema, but PT Anderson and David Fincher are the dashing young princes. Follow Brogan on twitter if you can take shameless self-promotion: @BroganMorris1
