4. Namor

Way back in 2010, rumours pointed to Namor the Submariner making an appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger, but there's been no word on what's going on with the character since then. There are plenty of conflicting reports out there about which studio holds the rights to him though, and if Marvel can get all that straightened out, they'd be wise to get their King of Atlantis on the screen as soon as possible. The problem here of course is the fact that Warner Bros. will inevitably beat them to it with Aquaman in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Justice League, and his own solo outing in 2018, something which could have the unfortunate effect of moviegoers labelling Namor as a ripoff of that character. They're two very different heroes though - Namor doesn't talk to fish for starters - and there's a lot of potential here for Marvel to outshine their Distinguished Competition's underwater set superhero movie. A solo outing for Namor seems like a stretch this late in the game, but seeing as he has such a fascinating relationship with Black Panther in the comics, introducing Namor and Atlantis there could work really, really well.
