5. Members Of E.T.'s Species Show Up In The Phantom Menace
One of the most well-documented friendships in Hollywood is that of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. The two have collaborated multiple times over the years, most notably on the Indiana Jones series. During 1982's E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Spielberg even paid homage to Lucas and Star Wars by including several toys and a prominent Yoda cameo. Lucas then promised Spielberg that he would include an E.T. cameo in the next Star Wars film that he made, which ultimately turned out to be The Phantom Menace. And so in Episode I, during a shot of the Galactic Senate, several alien creatures practically identical to E.T. can be seen. These are a race of beings known as Asogians, with one of the visible Asogians being called Grebleips, or Spielberg spelled backwards.
