5. One Cinema Accidentally Showed Saw 3D To An Audience Of Children

In 2010, a seven-year-old wanted to celebrate his birthday with his friends by watching the animated comedy, Megamind, at Showcase Cinema in Massachusetts. But when the movie started, the children and their parents were horrified to learn the cinema had accidentally put on the wrong film.

Of every movie the establishment could have possibly shown by mistake, they put on the R-rated horror, Saw 3D. When the employees learned of the error, they ordered the kids to cover their eyes while they set up the right movie. By the time the flub was corrected, the children had already watched the first two scenes, meaning they witnessed a man cauterising his dismembered leg and a woman having her intestines cut out by a buzzsaw.

It hasn't been verified but it's a safe assumption that someone at the cinema got mega-fired for that blunder.
