1. No Bond Theme Song Has Reached The UK Number One Spot
The Bond film series has produced many a famous song over the years, from Shirley Bassey's Goldfinger all the way to Adele's Skyfall. Sure, not every one is a triumph, but many have been successful, with several seeping into popular culture. Somehow, though, not one Bond theme has made it to the coveted top spot on the charts in the UK. In fact, only two have made it to, well, number two. Namely, Skyfall and Duran Duran's A View To A Kill. Weirdly for a song that isn't generally considered to be one of the best, A View To A Kill is the only theme to make it to number one in the US, too. What with over 50 years' worth of songs and still no number one, many think there is a curse on the Bond franchise. Although, as curses go, it's not a bad one considering that, in all other areas, the Bond franchise is one of the most successful and popular of all time.
