20 Mistakes You Probably Missed In Ghostbusters Movies

10. The Judge Who Ignored The Law - G2

When the Ghostbusters are hauled into court for breaking the law and investigating the city€™s supernatural activities, they stand before Judge Wexler, who is tormented by the Scolari Brothers, who he sentenced to death for murder. The problem with that - despite its value to the plot - is that New York abolished the death penalty in 1965, when Wexler would have been in his late 20s, and thus would have been way too young to be a judge involved in such a case, if he€™d even started presiding by then. It takes a long time to become a judge, let alone one trusted to take on murder cases, and judging by Harris Yulin€™s age in real life, there€™s no way Wexler sentenced the Scolaris to death before the abolition of the punishment.
