20 Moments That Will Define Upcoming Marvel Movies

9. How Venom Becomes Venom (Venom)

The classic version of Venom became Venom because an alien parasite - or symbiote - bonded to his body and granted him the enhanced abilities of the last person he had been in contact with, which is Spider-Man in most depictions. The last Spider-Man movie franchise certainly depicted it that way, but Easter eggs from the current franchise appear to show Venom as being some kind of serum that is stored in the facilities at Oscorp and, if that's the case, it might not go down too well with audiences (you know what we're like when it comes to changes from the source material). So, when we finally find out if Venom is going to be a symbiote, a serum or something else entirely, it will most likely shape our view of the character and his movie as a whole.
