What Is It? Lee Unkrich's passion project riffing on the Day of the Dead has been gestating over at Pixar for years now, and it's now finally coming together, with a story following a ten year old boy discovering a century old mystery. The only confirmed cast member is Law & Order's Benjamin Bratt, but expect an A-List assembly in the next year.

When's It Out? 22nd November (US), 23rd November (UK)

Why Will It Be Awesome? In a year where Pixar are sh*tting out Cars 3, it's a relief they're fitting in an original movie too. And this one is really out there for the studio, showing they're still not afraid to dream big. At the very worst, this will hopefully be better than the Guillermo del Toro-produced The Book Of Life from a couple of years back.

Any Concerns? Pixar isn't quite what it was at the turn of the decade; they had their first genuinely bad film (Cars 2), a box office bomb (The Good Dinosaur) and, Inside Out aside, the rest of their output hasn't had the same spark that made icons of their early outings. So even if this is a totally original flick, there's still a question mark over it. Oh, and the Day of the Dead fascination feels a couple of years past it.
