20 Most Anticipated Horror Films Right Now

19. The ABC's Of Death 2 (2014)

Abc The first collection of horror shorts was a spectacularly hit and miss affair with at least two thirds of the films being pretty awful. There were some really strong pieces though including Marcel Sarmiento€™s €˜D is for Dogfight€™, Adam Wingard€™s €˜Q is for Quack€™ and Ernesto Diaz Espinoza€™s €˜C is for Cycle€™. Unfortunately, we also had to sit through €˜F is for Fart€™, €˜H is for Hydro-Electric Diffusion€™ and €˜L is for Libido€™. This new collection follows the same structure as the first film and directors include The Mighty Boosh€™s Julian Barratt, Cube and Hannibal series director Vincenzo Natali and The Soska Sisters. Initial reports suggest this also has the same amount of terrible segments as the first film but any horror fan likes these anthology horrors because there is a chance of catching some hidden gem, and so it may seem here. Early reviews suggest €˜F is for Falling€™, which follows a Jewish female solider as she parachutes into Arab territory, Robert Boocheck€™s €˜M is for Masticate€™ a single shot POV of a man running down a street attacking bystanders and Marvin Kren€™s apparently brilliant World War II period piece €˜Russian Roulette€™, are particularly strong. Here€™s hoping these gems, and a few others, can at least part-rescue this interesting but flawed anthology series.
