4. Talk 2 Me
The Philippou brothers, Danny and Michael, absolutely crushed it with their directorial debut, Talk to Me. Centred around an embalmed hand that connects the holder to the spirit world, the spooky thriller initially sounds like a schlocky B-movie, but due to phenomenal performances, masterful editing, and chilling imagery, Talk to Me was arguably 2022's best horror film.
Even though the paranormal nail-biter told a self-contained story, it was too good to leave alone (especially after raking in nearly 20 times its budget). As such, it wasn't much of a surprise when the Philpipous announced a sequel, perfectly titled Talk 2 Me. The co-directors confirmed they are working with returning writers Bill and Danny Hinzman, and have already begun formulating sequences for the follow-up.
As a bonus, a prequel sequence based on Duckett from the previous movie has already been shot. Although this instalment may not be feature-length, it will be released in some capacity in the future.
