M3GAN proved enough of a hit for Blumhouse that they've not only shot a sequel due for release next summer, but are developing a spin-off set to drop in early 2026.

SOULM8TE is an erotic thriller set within the M3GAN universe, revolving around a bereaved husband who attempts to fill the void with a new android lovebot, only for things to predictably turn disastrous.

The campy potential speaks for itself, and if filmmaker Kate Dolan (You Are Not My Mother) can capture the same giddy tone that made M3GAN so much fun, this could be a gonzo blast. With James Wan collaborating on the story, things are looking good.

SOULM8TE releases January 2, 2026.
