Spider-Man: Brand New Day is, of course, the long-awaited sequel to 2021's massive Spider-Man: No Way Home, picking up in a world that has forgotten Peter Parker (Tom Holland) exists, leaving him to anonymously fight crime as Spider-Man.

In addition to taking on Scorpion (Michael Mando), Tombstone (Marvin Jones III), and The Hand, he'll cross paths with The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), find himself once again in MJ's (Zendaya) life, and encounter a mysterious new character played by Sadie Sink, whom many believe might be the X-Men's Jean Grey.

Though MCU Spider-Man filmmaker Jon Watts opted not to return for this fourth outing, he's certainly been replaced by a hot choice in Shang-Chi's Destin Daniel Cretton.

With the MCU being in a bit of a funk right now and in desperate need of a bona fide smash-hit, one can hope that Brand New Day will help compellingly set the stage for Avengers: Doomsday at the tail-end of the year.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day releases on July 31.
