If most of Netflix's CGI animated movies to date have fallen rather short of the mark, their upcoming collaboration with Pearl Studio looks like it might boast both the production quality and heartfelt story audiences expect from theatrically-released big-budget animation.

Directed by veteran Disney animator Glen Keane, Over the Moon follows a young girl, Fei Fei (Cathy Ang), who attempts to fly a rocket ship to the moon in order to meet the moon goddess Chang'e (Phillipa Soo).

The first trailer suggests this just might be Netflix's first breakout CGI-animated hit, and a supporting cast including the likes of Ken Jeong, John Cho, Sandra Oh, Margaret Cho, and Kimiko Glenn sure doesn't hurt.
