Paranormal Activity 2 director Tod Williams brings to the screen Stephen King's 2006 novel about a deadly zombie virus which takes over the bulk of civilization in the blink of an eye after being sent out every cellular phone in the world.
John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson head up the cast, marking a reunion for the actors who previously co-starred in 2007 King adaptation 1408. Orphan's Isabelle Fuhrman is also along for the apocalyptic ride.
The film's been in development for as long as the book's been in print (with Eli Roth initially attached to direct); curiously, it was shot in 2014, but no one seems to be talking about why it's taken so long to reach the screen. This might not bode well - but you never know.
