20 Most Epic Movie Moments Of 2016

Maui (Dwayne Johnson) and Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) attempt to retrieve Maui's magical hook from Tamatoa (Jemaine Clement), a gigantic crab who loves shiny things and even sings a song, "Shiny", to that end.

Cue a gloriously creepy disco-style sing-song which is brilliantly, creepily at odds with the rest of the film's musical choices, while Tamatoa tries to kill both Maui and Moana.

The sequence even goes trippy when Tamatoa uses his bio-luminescence, though Moana takes advantage of this to trick him, by painting a rock to resemble the heart of Te Fiti and allowing them to escape.

Thanks to Clement's fantastic vocal performance, some gorgeous animation and brilliant songwriting, it's a scene both highly entertaining and oddly unsettling. An actual boss fight in a Disney movie.
