20 Most Horribly Misleading Movie Titles

15. Who€™s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?

What It Sounds Like: A horror film about the perils of GCSE English Literature? A Dangerous Minds/Freedom Writers-inspired flick to uplift downtrodden students? Maybe they€™re too interpretive. This title even hints at a sequel to The Hours. Except this time Nicole Kidman gets crazy violent with a Bic lighter.

Not even close.

What It Actually Is: The 1966 film is based on the play by Edward Albee, and has very little to do with Ms. Woolf. Starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in their zany years, the events take place over the course of one night. History professor George (Burton) and his wife Martha (Taylor) invite new professor Nick and his wife Honey over for a night of drinking and banter. Things turn volatile as soon as the whiskey hits.
