20 Most Hotly Anticipated Movie Scenes Of 2018

Even after the release of the first trailer, Jurassic World: Fallen KIngdom feels a little like two films rolled into one. On one side of the coin is the ecology warrior adventure that sees a high-profile rescue of the remaining creatures on Isla Nubar when they're threatened by a volcanic eruption. On the other is whatever happens in the second half around Dr Henry Wu's theft of the embryos in the last movie and the company's nefarious plans to militarise their creations.

For now, all we've really seen is the first part of the story - and indeed the trailer only has footage from the first 57 minutes of the movie - which was a clever marketing tool (even if it's a little spoilerish for some) as it frames hype around a daring action sequence in the middle of the eruption. We'll get to see Claire and Owen fleeing for their lives alongside seemingly doomed dinosaurs, and there's just something irresistibly appealing about these old-school, effects-heavy disaster movie sequences.
