Billed As: The twelfth installment of the X-Men franchise sees Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) lose control of her powers which unleashes the Dark Phoenix within her. The X-Men must find a way to save Jean’s soul and destroy the aliens who want to use her powers to rule the galaxy.

Hype: Dark Phoenix has been delayed so many times that some of the hype has been lost, but not all. Set after the events of X-Men: Apocalypse, it’s going to be pretty exciting to be reunited with the characters after almost a decade in the movie’s world.

Turner has had so much success through Game of Thrones that her acting her only improved. With her studying both dissociative identity disorder and schizophrenia for her role – for when she changes from vulnerable Jean into the confident Phoenix – her performance is highly anticipated.

Although the trailer doesn’t make it look like anything that special, Dark Phoenix will surely give us a powerful exploration into Jean’s complex character and will hopefully pull off some cool special effects.
