20 Most Iconic Villain Introductions In Movie History
12. Pinhead - Hellraiser
Like the works of comic book legend Alan Moore, the path from print to screen for the works of Clive Barker have been hit and miss, to say the least. The difference being that while Moore never has anything to do with the cinematic adaptations of his material, Barker gets his hands dirty. The best result by far is his 1987 horror masterpiece, Hellraiser, which Barker directed himself. The '80s delivered more than its fair share of horror icons and Pinhead, the leader of the Cenobites unleashed into the real world via a mysterious puzzlebox is one of the most enduring. As familiar a face as Freddy Krueger is, Pinhead was an altogether darker horror villain, emerging from the depths of hell to engage in the worst kind of soul-stealing sadomasochism. With Clive Barker currently working on a remake there's a good chance Pinhead will be reappearing in cinemas in the future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mHjrWnZ5Us
