18. Jesus Quintana - The Big Lebowski

Not all movie villains have to inspire fear in the audience to be memorable - while the Coen brothers have brought a number of notable bad guys to the screen (not least John Goodman's serial killing salesman in Barton Fink) a fan favourite is without a doubt Jesus Quintana in The Big Lebowski. Played gleefully over the top by John Turturro, Quintana's introductory scene is one of the funniest moments in The Big Leboswki, which is really saying something for a film which is frequently hilarious from start to finish. What makes his entrance into the movie all the more hilarious is that, for all the style the Coen brothers lavish on his scene, his character barely features at all in what follows.
