19. The Hulk Meets His Match – Avengers: Infinity War
Throughout his appearances in the MCU, it was clear that the Hulk lived up to one of his most popular catchphrases.
From one-shotting Leviathans and overpowering beings such as Thor and Ultron, Bruce Banner’s destructive alter-ego was in a class of his own as far as strength was concerned. That was up until a certain Mad Titan made his grand bow.
Though brief, the fistfight between Thanos and the Hulk in Infinity War’s opening scene was the first time we had seen the latter be beaten in such a decisive manner. Beyond that, we got a clear picture of the threat Thanos posed due to the combination of his inhuman strength, durability and combat skill.
It is a shame that the Hulk never got a rematch, but based off what we saw Thanos do after this scene suggests that he still would have had a hard time going toe-to-toe with the Titan warrior.
