14. Thor And Iron Man Destroy The Sokovian Capital – Avengers: Age Of Ultron
Ultron may not have been as layered and entertaining as Loki, but there is no denying that the rogue artificial intelligence’s plan was a step up from the God of Mischief’s in terms of world-ending consequences.
Fortunately, the Avengers were able to devise a plan that would stop the plummeting Sokovian capital from wiping out life on Earth. This involved and Iron Man using his Uni-beam to destabilize the Vibranium core holding the landmass and Thor cracking said landmass with a lightning charged blow from Mjolnir.
While the core remained intact, the entire city was pulverized and it speaks volumes to just how powerful Thor (and Iron Man to some degree) are to survive an explosion of this magnitude, let alone cause it in the first place.
