Final Destination: Bloodlines was not just one of the best horror movies of 2025, it was also one of the year's biggest tear-jerkers... did anyone see that coming? Probably not. Life really is full of wonderful surprises.
Bloodlines sees the return of William Bludworth (Tony Todd), a mysterious man with extensive knowledge of Death's mechanics. For the first time, his backstory is explained: he is a survivor of a premonition himself, and he's on the same list as the movie's main characters. He's now terminally ill, and before leaving he says this:
"I intend to enjoy the time I have left, and I suggest you do the same. Life is precious. Enjoy every single second. You never know when... Good luck."
Most fans knew exactly what was going on here. Tony Todd himself knew he was dying when he made the film and the directors encouraged him to go off-script and convey one last message to his many fans. It was the most moving of tributes to a beloved horror icon and in terms of movies paying tribute to a deceased star, this is up there with the best of them.
