Jordan Peele's horror-satire always seemed like it would pull solid numbers with critics, perhaps around the 75-85% mark, but 99%, with only 3 negative reviews to date? That's nuts.

Considering how few mainstream horror movies review even moderately well, to see one resonating with critics this profoundly while also scoring huge at the box office is virtually unheard of.

And the film totally deserves its unexpected critical fervour: it's darkly hilarious, tripwire tense, superbly acted and visually impressive to boot. Horror that manages to capture the imagination of both the press and general audiences doesn't get much better than this.
