4. Kirk Kill By Squealing Leatherface - Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nSSX2qQ6WY A group of young people including a guy called Kirk embark on a trip to see if a grandfather's grave has been spoiled (there are stories of grave desiccation in the news). They want to visit a watering hole but instead find a creepy house. Utterly disregarding the laws of trespassing the group decides to investigate the house. Kirk goes in first. He can hear squealing noises. But unfortunately for him it is not a pig, it is Leatherface who comes out of a sliding door, whacks Kirk in the head and drags him behind the door. This is a very scary little shocker. It is done in a matter of seconds so it almost seems unbelievable - did I really see that? It also makes you think of the horrors behind Leatherface's door...

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
