5. Red Hooded Dwarf - Don't Look Now (1973)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsqzR0p04k8 Taking time out to stay in Venice for a new job following the tragic accidental drowning of their daughter, John and Laura Baxter run into a pair of elderly psychic sisters who say they can contact their daughter. Laura has a seance with the ladies to try and contact her daughter. The women say John is in great danger and should leave Venice. John, meanwhile, has been seeing a figure in a red hood (his daughter drowned wearing a red coat) and chases after the red hooded figure. He corners it and it turns around. What we see is the ugliest, scariest looking dwarf in cinema history who slashes John's throat. He lies there, blood pumping out of his neck like bejaysus and dies. This scene is pant wettingly frightening. Just the very appearance of the dwarf will make you crap your pants. You will be rewinding back to the explicit sex scene between John and Laura just to wipe your memory. A hideous conclusion to an eerie and sad film.
