12. The Dragon Colonoscopy - Dolittle
You can argue that the Robert Downey Jr.-starring Dolittle remake is a feature-length WTF moment, given the sheer abundance of peculiar and unconscionable artistic choices made throughout.
But there's one scene that above all others left audiences raising their eyebrows, when at the film's climax Dolittle (Downey) faces off against Ginko-Who-Soars (Frances de la Tour), a dragon with a severe intestinal blockage.
Cue Dolittle inspecting the dragon's back-passage and effectively performing an impromptu colonoscopy, removing both a pair of bagpipes and a suit of armour causing the dragon's sour mood.
Reportedly the dragon "enema" was conceived by actor-producer Downey himself, as he and director Stephen Gaghan scrambled to fix the film during post-production.
On one hand it's baffling that anyone would endeavour to include such a scene in a film aimed at children, but then again, would anyone remember Dolittle otherwise?
