20 Most WTF Movie Moments Of 2021 (So Far)

Fans of the original A Quiet Place were thrilled to hear the likes of Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou joining the cast of the sequel, and while Murphy certainly gets a beefy role to sink his teeth into, Hounsou not so much.

The Oscar-nominated actor is introduced late in the movie as the leader of a small colony of survivors who have been living in peace away from the monsters on an island - because the monsters can't swim.

This comparatively peaceful existence is upended when one of the creatures manages to drift to the island on a boat, eventually catching Djimon's character by surprise and dragging him away to his presumed death.

While it's frustrating that an actor of Djimon's talents wasn't used more in the film, his casting certainly succeeded in subverting audience expectations.

Given that the man has been able to live a fairly normal life away from the monsters, it basically fits that he'd get caught short when one shows up on the island.
