16. The Totally Unhinged Knightmare Epilogue - Zack Snyder's Justice League
Zack Snyder's Justice League mostly did, well, justice to Snyder's original vision for the film, but not everything totally worked, particularly the tacked-on "Knightmare" epilogue which Snyder filmed a few months prior to the film's release.
The scene transpires in a possible post-apocalyptic future caused by Darkseid's arrival on Earth.
In the scene, Batman (Ben Affleck), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Mera (Amber Heard), Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello), and The Joker (Jared Leto) are teaming up to take the supervillain down.
Beyond being a blatantly fan-serving tease for a Justice League sequel we'll never get, it's also unfortunately clear the scene was thrown together without sufficient resources to convincingly execute it.
For starters, the scene is just drowning in bad green screen compositing, and because most of the stars couldn't get together to shoot it, Snyder filmed most of them separately and comped them together in post.
Neat though it was to see Affleck's Caped Crusader and Leto's Clown Prince of Crime finally share the screen, we probably didn't need to hear The Joker crack wise about giving Batman a reach-around now, did we?
