15. The Man-Ram Creature - Lamb
Lamb is one of the most unique cinematic experiences of the year, a chilly Icelandic horror in which a childless couple, Ingvar (Hilmir Snær Guðnason) and María (Noomi Rapace), discover that one of their sheep has given birth to a human-sheep hybrid.
The couple care for the creature, Ada, as their own child, but when Ada's biological sheep mother gets in the way, María makes the decision to murder the mother and bury her.
This comes back to haunt the family late in the movie when Ada's father - a humanoid man-ram hybrid - shows up with vengeance on its mind.
The creature kills the family's dog, shoots Ingvar dead in revenge, and then takes a distraught Ada back, wandering off into the wilderness while leaving María to stew in her grief. The end.
As weird as Lamb is from the jump, the arrival of a gun-totting man-ram was something else entirely.
