20 Movie Auditions For Famous Roles You Need To See
8. Rachel McAdams As Allie - The Notebook
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XfUUYK7Gkg There was a time in the early 2000s when the prospect of a leading role in a Nicholas Sparks adaptation was the biggest thing a young actress could dream of. Such was the case for Rachel McAdams, then just a jobbing Canadian actress who had been featured in a handful of television movies and had just starred in her first major film, The Hot Chick. While Ryan Gosling appears to have been the only actor ever seriously considered for the role of Noah, McAdams had to compete with a number of other high-profile actresses for the role of Allie, reportedly including Ashley Judd, Britney Spears, Reese Witherspoon, and Jessica Biel. She auditioned for the movie in the middle of another film's premiere and only had the script sides one day in advance, not that you would know it from her amazing reading that we see here.
7. Seth Rogen As Ken Miller - Freaks and Geeks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRq5FMUsFv0 Back in 1998, an unknown sixteen year old actor walked into the auditions for what would become the cult classic Freaks and Geeks. He had dropped out of high school, but lied and said that he was completing a correspondence program. His name was Seth Rogen, and with his work on Freaks and Geeks he became Americas favorite stoner. Hes nervous here and unsure of himself, but his trademark delivery is still there. He went on to win the role of Ken Miller, a sarcastic high schooler who turned weed-induced apathy into an art form. It was the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship between him and showrunner Judd Apatow, who have collaborated on several popular comedies since.
