20 Movie Sequels That Were JUST Confirmed

After Jumanji: The Next Level was a huge box office hit in 2019, it was a given that the teased fourth film in the mainline series would go into production soon enough.

But 2020 of course saw Hollywood - and indeed the wider world - thrown into chaos by the pandemic, and in the years that followed it became tricky for the schedules of stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan to coincide.

Though Johnson and co. continually discussed their collective desire to make another Jumanji, many began to lose hope of the logistics ever actually panning out.

But in early November, Johnson finally confirmed that production on the still-untitled Jumanji sequel had begun, with a release date set for December 11, 2026.

While on paper it seems like the film should be another easy hit, at present it's due to hit cinemas just a week before both Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three, so don't be surprised if Jumanji and Dune end up moving to avoid the biggest MCU movie in years.
