5. The Ark: An Iron Sky Story
Remember Iron Sky? The 2012 action-schlock movie about Nazis hiding on the moon that basically appeared to meme itself into existence?
The film's dubious success led to the creation of a sequel, Iron Sky: The Coming Race, which was released in 2019 after languishing in post-production for many years.
A third film, The Ark: An Iron Sky Story, was announced back in 2017 with Andy Garcia and Chinese star Duan Yihong set to star. The unexpected threequel was shot from late 2017 through to early 2018, with an original intended release date of 2019.
Production has been slowed in recent times due to both COVID-19 and the bankruptcy of Iron Sky Universe, the company behind the movies.
But considering how long ago Iron Sky 3 was shot, and how much post-production was likely completed, it seems probable that a trailer will surface later this year for a 2022 release in earnest.
