1. Young Guns III: Alias: Billy The Kid
Despite proving a solid commercial success, more than 30 years have passed since the release of western sequel Young Guns II without a third film materialising - most of the main characters admittedly being dead and all.
But back in January, John Fusco, who wrote both Young Guns movies, revealed that Young Guns III is indeed in the works with Emilio Estevez set to return for what he called a "continuation of the Billy the Kid saga."
Though no director has yet been confirmed, it's been hinted that Estevez himself may helm the threequel, which has a tentative - that is, very tentative - release date of August 3, 2022.
It wouldn't surprise anyone if this slips, but considering that Estevez is currently flying high off the nostalgia-fuelled success of his Disney+ series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, there's probably no easier time to get Young Guns III made.
