Despite releasing 14 years ago to critical and commercial success, Disney's live-action fairy-tale satire Enchanted has only now managed to get a sequel into production.
Last December, Disenchanted was officially announced as a straight-to-Disney+ release which will see primary cast members Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel all reprising their roles, while Disney legend Alan Menken will also return to compose new songs.
Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Rock of Ages) is signed to direct, with production set to begin imminently.
Disenchanted will be shot in Ireland and Los Angeles over the summer, ensuring it will easily land a release date on Disney's streaming platform next year.
