20 Movies Starring Harry Potter Actors Coming In 2017
8. Jungle – Daniel Radcliffe
Last seen playing a flatulent corpse in Swiss Army Man, Daniel Radcliffe will return to the screen in 2017 with a starring role in Wolf Creek director Greg McLean’s latest project Jungle as real-life Israeli adventurer Yossi Ghinsberg.
Based on Ghinsberg’s bestselling memoirs, the movie will focus on his travels to South America where he met an Austrian man claiming to be a geologist who coerced him and two of his friends to join him on an ill-fated trek into an unchartered region of the Amazon rainforest with fraudulent promises of hidden treasures.
Soon, their expedition descended into a battle
for survival against the harsh jungle elements.
It’s been a funny year for both Radcliffe and McLean. While Swiss Army Man and Imperium were a hit with critics, Radcliffe’s other 2016 film Now You See Me 2 wasn’t quite as successful. Similarly, director McLean’s horror movie The Darkness was universally panned though his forthcoming horror The Belko Experiment seemed to please audiences after its Toronto International Film Festival premiere in September. Hopefully, Radcliffe and McLean will be back on top form in what looks like a gripping survivalist thriller.
