20 Movies That Prove 2022 Is The Best Year For Horror EVER
1. Hellraiser
Perhaps the single most miraculous thing that horror has given us this year is a good Hellraiser movie, considering that the last one - surely Hellbound: Hellraiser II - came out way back in 1988.
After years of rancid sequels and retoolings, Hellraiser is finally back with a flawed-yet-worthy reboot, courtesy of skilled genre hand David Bruckner (The Night House).
With sharp visuals and a killer performance from Jamie Clayton as the new incarnation of Pinhead, Hellraiser finally gets back to twisted, grisly form, while setting a foundation which sequels might even be able to improve upon.
Given that so many Hellraiser fans lost faith in the series ever producing another quality title again, what a damn breath of fresh air this was, warts and all.
