20 Movies That Will Kick Ass In 2018

13. Ant-Man And The Wasp

Acting as a palette cleanser coming out of Infinity War, Ant-Man and The Wasp is going to be something of a back-to-basics MCU flick, a self-contained heist thriller rather than a major event.

That should play to the sequel's strengths though, giving fans the chance to catch up with a character they haven't seen since Civil War. Likewise, director Peyton Reed has been given the time to put his own definitive spin on the franchise, completely removed now from the Edgar Wright controversy which always acted as a dark cloud over the original movie.

The trailers so far promise a far more confident film than the first, going all in on the wacky possibilities of the hero's unique abilities. However, part of the interest also lies in just how the story will tie into Infinity War, because although there hasn't been a whiff of that so far, the titular hero's appearance in its sequel means it inevitably has to.
