20 Movies Which Could Win Oscars In 2022

Will Smith has largely shied away from Oscar-baiting movie roles in recent years, and his last nomination was back in 2007 for The Pursuit of Happyness.

As such, voters may be eager to nominate him once more for sports drama King Richard, where he'll play Venus and Serena Williams' father and tennis coach, Richard Williams.

Though neither the writer nor director have any major plaudits to their names, the few images of the film we've seen suggest a vanity-free, unvarnished performance from Smith, which could certainly be enough to score him his third Best Actor nomination.

Picture, Director, and Original Screenplay are possible albeit less likely, as this seems to be a film powered above all else by its star.
