1. Limbo
Alejandro González Iñárritu's top-secret new film Limbo is currently shooting in Mexico, and if it manages to make the deadline for 2022 submissions - whatever that actually ends up being - it's basically a shoo-in to win the Best International Feature Film Oscar.
With four Oscars to his name already - two for directing, one for writing, one for producing - Iñárritu is an awards powerhouse, and while it's possible Limbo will end up following Roma's awards trajectory by breaking into the Best Picture race, it should in the very least have the International Feature Oscar in the bag.
Again, nothing is known about the plot and its cast is comprised almost entirely of unknown actors, but that didn't stop Roma receiving 10 Oscar nominations and winning three (Best Director, Cinematography, and International Feature Film).
