12. Anton Corbijn: The Killers - "All These Things That I've Done"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZTpLvsYYHw Beautifully photographed in black and white, it is clear to see what visual artist Anton Corbijn made such an assured transition to cinema. Corbijn's poetic and thoughtful video for The Killers' progressive anthem "All These Things I've Done" is as transporting as the record itself. A famed videographer who has worked with a plethora of musicians including Coldplay, Nirvana, U2 and Metallica, he took to studying Joy Division vocalist Ian Curtis for his first cinematic foray; Control (2007). Since then, he has managed to blur the lines between Hollywood studio filmmaking and European arthouse sensibility with works including The American (2010) and A Most Wanted Man (2014). Corbijn's latest biopic - Life - which stars Dane DeHaan as acting royalty James Dean and Robert Pattinson as photographer Dennis Stock, is out in cinemas now.
