Gareth Evans reunites with Netflix following his 2018 horror Apostle for an action-thriller starring Tom Hardy as Walker, a detective who must battle his way through a criminal underworld in order to rescue a politician's son.

Evans' work on The Raid movies has earned him a ton of goodwill with genre fans, and the prospect of pairing his phenomenal, hard-hitting action chops with Hardy's committed physicality speaks for itself.

It's also one of the biggest film productions ever shot in Evans' native Wales, so we can expect it to boast a unique aesthetic and atmosphere compared to, say, a London-set crime thriller.

If that's somehow not enough, the cast also includes Forest Whitaker, Timothy Olyphant, and Luis Guzmán.

With principal photography having wrapped last October, we probably don't have too long to wait for the first trailer and a concrete release date.

Havoc releases later this year.
