9. Idris Elba - Beasts Of No Nation

For the Thor films and The Avengers, Idris Elba has been the loyal, steadfast Heimdall, the guard who protects the passage between Earth and Asgard. But unlike a lot of the other Marvel actors, who are shaping their careers around their performances as superheroes, this is really more of a side gig for Elba. He gets comparatively little screen time, and is heavily involved in a number of other projects. His newest is Beasts of No Nation, a film that tells the story of a young boy who becomes a child soldier after civil war breaks out in his African country. So, you know...uplifting stuff. Joking aside, Idris Elba seems like a great fit for the film, which will hopefully bring attention to an issue that could always use a few more eyes and ears focused on it.
