20 Obscure Movies With Hilarious IMDB Descriptions
8. A Gnome Named Gnorm (1990)
"Gnorm is just an average Gnome. But he wants to impress the lady Gnomes by doing something heroic. So he steals the Gnome's magic stones to expose them to sunlight to recharge them. When he gets to the surface, he witnesses a murder, and the killer ends up with his stones." The most relatable film on the whole list, because who doesn't want to impress the lady Gnomes? Then you throw in gnome "magic stones" that have to be "exposed" to "recharge" them, murder, and losing the stones to the killer, and you have a wild ride of a movie. Anthony Michael Hall (of the 1980s John Hughes' movies) stars in what sounds like his most iconic role since The Breakfast Club, as a cop working with the sadly stoneless gnome in an effort to catch the killer, because HOW WILL YOU IMPRESS THE LADY GNOMES WITHOUT YOUR GNOME STONES?
7. Tijuana Makes Me Happy (2007)
"A boy will do anything to become a man and win the heart of a young prostitute... even fight his rooster." It's Tijuana, man. What can you say? Just a bonus, as if that description wasn't great enough, someone added this review to the IMDB entry and it's just too good not to include: "Every man remembers how hard it is being 15 years old: Your voice is cracking, your hormones are raging, school is boring, the girl you love is a young prostitute who won't go out with you because you don't have enough cash, so you start smuggling drugs across the border in order to save enough money to buy a rooster so you can enter a cockfight and win her love." We've all been there.
