15. Ed Tudor-Pole
Anybody who grew up in 90s Britain will likely be familiar with The Crystal Maze, a Channel 4 gameshow that saw a group of strangers team up to take on a series of physical, mental, skill and mystery challenges to collect crystals, regularly garnering in the region of seven million viewers in the process. Most fondly remembered as the host of the show is Richard OBrien, the writer of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, who presented from 1990-1993, but between 1993 and 1995, the reins were taken by eccentric musician-turned-actor Edward Tudor-Pole. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Tudor Pole had a small role as Mr. Borgin, a shop owner associated with the Dark Arts who agrees to purchase incriminating items from Lucius Malfoy. Nearly all of his role was left on the cutting room floor, but can be seen in the deleted scenes included on the DVD and Blu-Ray releases of the film.
14. Paul Whitehouse
Somewhat dubiously described by Johnny Depp as the greatest actor of all time, Paul Whitehouse has been a regular fixture of the British television comedy scene for many years, making a name for himself as a cast member on the Fast Show and working with Harry Enfield on a number of occasions. He can currently be seen in Aviva adverts as well. In the third Harry Potter film, Prisoner of Azkaban, Paul Whitehouse was cast in the role of Sir Cadogan, a knight who dwells in one of Hogwarts many portraits. Sadly, much of his role was cut. In the books, Sir Cadogan is a comic relief character, who becomes the guardian of Gryffindor tower after the Fat Lady is supposedly attacked by Sirius Black. With his regular issuing of duelling challenges to students, he wouldve made for an excellent addition to what is perhaps the best film in the series.
